You are eligible if you are an MBBS with a permanent registration from BMDC.

  • You can do this by online - Click on REGISTER ACOUNT in the dashboard of https://dlpbadas.org.bd)
  • There are 5 steps of registration:

Step 1: Your email address

Step 2: Your personal information

Step 3: Your academic information; here you will be asked to upload a) SSC & MBBS certificates; b) BMDC registration c) a passport size photo and d) NID

Then you need to wait for verification process.

Step 4: Course fee payment either by online or bank draft which must be done within a specified time after approval

 Step 5: Completion of your admission process with receiving your student Identification number

Then you will be able to login as a student on the day of commencement of course to start your study.

CCD means  Certificate Course on Diabetology.

CCD is a modular course. There are 10 Modules. There are 3 Phases of the course.

  • Phase A consists of Modules 1, 2 & 3
  • Phase B consists of Modules 4, 5, 6 & 7
  • Phase C consists of Modules 8, 9 & 10
  • During Phase B a student has to attend 2 Skill Development Tutorials (SDT); SDT-1 for clinical skill and SDT-2 for practical skill
  • During Phase C a student has to attend one Workshop

What is module?

Modules are for self study. A module resembles a chapter of a text book

  • A module begins with an introductory lesson termed Objectives
  • And the last lesson is called Summary which summarizes the module and gives hints to further reading
  • All other lessons have 2 parts a) Text part and b) Practice part
  • You can study directly and also can be downloaded as pdf
  • After going through the text a student can go to practice for assignment of study
  • Practice part is self assessment process with 2 types of questions:  i) Fill up the gap(s) and ii) True/ false response
  • Score is displayed immediately upon submission or time is over
  • A student can practice as many times as he/she wants

It can be completed within a minimum duration of 6 (six) months.

Once admitted you schould complete it within 3 (three) years, otherwise you will be course-out.

CCD means Cetrtificate Course on Diabetology.

It is a course run by Diabetic Association of Bangladesh.

It is for physicians who want to improve their skill in diabetes care.

PCA means Phase Completion Assessment.

It is an online assessment/examination at the end of a phase.

  1. Student will be able to appear in his/her PCA after becoming eligible for it  accoding to schedule of academic calendar (Click on PCA -1/ 2/ 3 in the dashboard)
  2. Questions have to be answer in True/False format, either in a single statement or in stems of a multiple choice question (MCQ)
  3. Marking system: for a correct response + 1; for an incorrect response -0.5 and for no response 0
  4. Once a student starts PCA 'Countdown' for finishing time will start
  5. End of a PCA can be done using 'Submit' button or will be automatic at the end of countdown
  6. Result will be displayed and also a message will be sent
  7. There will be repeated chances to retake the exam, or nsuccessful students may be asked to apply for another PCA

 

What are the eligibility criteria for appearing in PCA?

  • For PCA 1: After 4 weeks of start day of the course
  • For PCA 2: After successful completion SDT-1 and 2
  • For PCA 3: After successful completion of Workshops

SDT means Skill Development Tutorial.

  • Prerequisite: completion of PCA 1 
  • Two SDTs - SDT-1 on clinical skill and SDT-2 on practical skill are conducted as per academic calendar
  • Take preparation by studying your previous modules
  • Attend the tutorials as per schedule
  • Submit your evaluation report to (Click on Evaluation in the dashboard) get an SDT completion message

Then you will be able to login as a student to start your study after the course is open (as in academic calender).

Keep the record of your a) Passward, b) phone number, c) email, d)student Identification number

These will be needed througout your study

  • Prerequisite: completion of PCA 2 
  • Apply for a Workshop as per calendar and get a confirmation message  and a link of instructions (Click on Workshop in the dashboard)
  • Attend the session
  • Submit your evaluation report to (Click on Evaluation in the dashboard) get a Workshop completion message

You can complete it within 6 (six) months (during the session you rgistared).

Once admitted you have to complete it within 3 (three) years, otherwise you will be course-out..

ECE means End Course Examination.

  • Prerequisite: completion of PCA 3  or previously unsuccessful ECE
  • Apply for a ECE as per calendar to get your admit card
  • Attend the ECE
  • Submit your report to get your certificate (Click on Certificate in the dashboard)

A student is in phase A is by getting admission into the course; in phase B by successful completion of PCA 1 and; in phase C by successful completion of PCA 2.

And becomes eligible for End Course Examination (ECE) by successful completion of PCA 3.

Post graduates in Endocrinology with kin interest in teaching in face to face or online sessions of skil development are given preference for it.

You will be given preference if you have experience as Tutor of CCD of DLP.
